Who’s in Charge of Social Network Information?
Having a background in both litigation technologies for electronic document management and social media I found this article very interesting. It speaks to the uphill battle of capturing not just enterprise email communication for litigation but an ever steeper climb up this hill to capture social networking communication both in the enterprise and outside (twitter for example).
What will the new capture & discovery technologies look like in the future? With the recent stories about the emergence of twitter in the enterprise what type of policies will be developed to counter the ability for employees to ‘tweet’ about company activities and gossip? What are your thoughts from a litigious view of Social Network capture and retention methodologies?
